"Mad Max"
Co-founder of Algarve On Board. Max is renowned in Portuguese-speaking countries for his acting career. He became a private pilot at the age of 22 and he has made 4 expeditions across Brazil with his airplane and has logged more than 5,000 hours of flight time.
He covered more than 21,000 kilometers on the roads of South America, living in a motorhome for 6 months. Max brings a wealth of sailing experience, having crossed the Atlantic 3 times on sailing yachts. Max has been living on his sailiboat for more than 7 years and is the best host you can find on your adventures in the Algarve!

"Stan the Man"
Stan has been on boats all his life. After working as RYA certified Yachting Instructor in the North of Europe, he delivered several sailing yachts across the Atlantic. He then moved to Lisbon to start a career as Recruitment Director at Teleperformance Portugal, one of the largest and fastest growing multinationals in Portugal. During a career break, he crossed the Atlantic on his own sailboat and cruised the Caribbean. Since his return to Portugal, he has been helping start-ups build strong teams and grow their business across various industries. Stan is fluent in six languages and lives on his boat with his two cats.

"Sofia Sea Star"
Sofia is the female sea star of our skipper's board. She also lives aboard and her main characteristic is her spontaneity and excitement about discovering new adventures in the Algarve with our passengers. If you'd like to have a “tea at the sea”, she is an expert!
